JOAN ROX JOHNSTON
Funeral services for Joan Johnston will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Johnston, age 78 of Lafayette, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Friday, February 07, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry G. Johnston; and her parents, Phillip and Martha Kohler Rox.
Survivors include three sons; John Johnston and his wife Tammy V. of Erwinville, Paul Johnston and his wife Tammy of Delhi, and Chris Johnston and his wife Jessica of Bunkie; one daughter, Ginger Johnston of Lafayette; one sister, Martha Milligan of Bunkie; her grandchildren, Thomas, Carina, Phillip, and April; and her great-grandchildren, Amy, Aiden, Robin, Raven, Phoenix, E.J., Kaylee, and Trent.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 409 St. John St., Bunkie, LA 71322.
