A Mass of Christian Burial for Janell Dopson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Dopson, age 95 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Bunkie General Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, W.G. Dopson; a son, Kevin Dopson; her parents, Allen and Annie Dupuy Frank; brother, Al Frank; sister, Mary Jo Clause; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Dopson.

Survivors include her children; Steven Dopson of Van Cleve, MS, Alayne Ducote of Bunkie, Monica Dopson of Evergreen, Neil Dopson of Bunkie and Margaret Dopson (Jerri) of Mobile, AL; a sister, Karen Ann Davis (Charles) of Broussard; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
