Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Poole will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Msgr. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery in Cheneyville.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Poole, age 87 of Cheneyville, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at her residence.

Jane worked most of her life at the Cheneyville Elevator as a grain grader and on the farm with her husband and her sons.  She was a member of Farm Bureau where she was a past Parish President and served on the Women's State Board of Farm Bureau.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Robert Poole, Sr.; sons, Robert Poole, Jr. and David Poole; a grandson, Rusty Poole; her parents, David and Helen Basey Gullett; brothers, Marshall Gullett and David Gullett and sisters, Helen Howard, Catherine Gullett and Margaret Wardell.

Survivors include three sons, Ricky Poole, Michael Poole and William "Bill" Poole and wife Jackie all of Cheneyville; her grandchildren, Mark Poole, Matthew Poole, Jessica Dickerson, Amanda Poole, Logan Poole, Ben Poole, Jacob Poole, Byron Poole, Trevor Poole, Helen Oliver and Stephen Poole; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
