James Vidrine, age 75 of Cottonport, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.  Arrangements were under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Vidrine is preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Vidrine Johnson; his parents, Walter and Melanda Veillon Vidrine; brother, Gervis Vidrine and sister, Barbara Vidrine.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Julia Myers Vidrine of Cottonport; two sisters, Janice Deville land husband Carl of Turkey Creek and Mary Ann Schexnayder and husband Hilton of Crowley; his grandchildren, Jordon Santoyo and wife Vanessa, Carolina Blankenship and husband Boyd and Elizabeth Peacock and husband Shawn; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service was held on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
