A Mass of Christian Burial for Irene Dufour will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Dufour, age 83 of Evergreen, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

She is preceded in death by husband, John Ducote; parents, John and Sarah O'Connor Fontenot; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Elton Dufour of Evergreen; her daughter, Brenda D. Ingo and husband Gary of Thibodeaux; step-daughters, Christine D. Lapairie of Bay Hills and Vickie D. Ducote and husband Barney of Bay Hills; grandchildren, Ryan Ingo and Brook Ingo; 5 step-grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday with a rosary being recited at 10:30 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
