Funeral services for Hudson P. Ortego will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010 at St. Mary's Assumption Church in Cottonport with the Rev. Anthony Dharmaraj officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home.
Mr. Ortego, age 94 of Cottonport, passed away on Thurday, May 27, 2010 at the Bayou Vista Nursing Home.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Ortego; a sister, Ona Brassette; and his brothers, Ellis Ortego and Hilton Ortego.
Survivors include his two daughters; Mary Ellen Juneau of Bunkie, and Elaine Lacombe Fontaine and her husband Don of Prairieville; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
