HENRIETTA BUNDICK MARCOTTE

Funeral services for Henrietta Bundick Marcotte will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Bro. Bill Hously officiating. Burial will follow in Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Henrietta Marcotte, age 81 of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at her residence. She was a lovely wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved cooking, family dinners, spending time in church, playing piano, fishing and shelling pecans with her husband. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sewell and Gloria Bundick of St. Landry.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Paul Marcotte of St. Landry; her  children, Paula Savage (Terell) of Bunkie, Suzie Marcotte of Bunkie, Chris Marcotte (Brenda) of Lone Pine; her grandchildren, Eryn Dopson, Scotty Fontenot, Bliss Fontenot, Desiree Brunet, Dylan Marcotte, and Harlee Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Kaden Dopson, Kole Dopson, Knox Dopson, Trevor Dupuy, Shyanne Fontenot, Landon Fontenot, Bella Fontenot, Dixie Brunet, Charlee Brunet, and Paesley Marcotte; also an expected great-great grandchild, Tyler Lane Dopson; her siblings, Cheryl Milligan of Plaucheville, Dru Franks of St. Landry, Shannon Bundick (Kathy) of Gonzales, and Lee Bundick (Debbie) of Lawtell.

Pallbearers include Scotty Fontenot, Landon Fontenot, Dylan Marcotte, Trevor Dupuy, Kaden Dopson, Kole Dopson, Knox Dopson, and Terrell Savage.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
