Obituary

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Lacombe, age 80 of Bunkie, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Lester and Hazel Chatelain Lacombe.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Desselle Lacombe of Bunkie; one son, Barry Lacombe and his wife Jenny of Bunkie; two daughters, Lisha L. Armand and her husband Chris of Metairie, and Christie Lacombe of Bunkie; his sister, Bernadette Deshotel of Mansura; and his three grandsons, Nicholas J. Lacombe, Nicholas P. Lacombe and Spencer T. Lacombe.

Harold graduated from Mansura High in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from CLECO after 39 years of service. Mr. Moose was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was known to many as a baseball and softball coach for many years and was also a professional umpire.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
