HAROLD JOSEPH FONTENOT
Funeral services for Harold Fontenot will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Catherine's Cemetery in Rosa. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral of Bunkie.
Mr. Fontenot, age 78 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Riverside Hospital in Alexandria.
He is preceded in death by a son, Harold Fontenot, Jr.; and his father, Hadley Fontenot.
Survivors include one son, Brad Fontenot of New Orleans; one daughter, Donna Fontenot of New Orleans; his mother, Philomene Johnson of Bunkie; his sisters, Georgine Breaux of Bunkie, Elsie Redmon of Evergreen, and Joyce Hopstine of Hattiesburg, MS; and his love of his life, Bertha Latour of Bunkie.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
