Funeral services for Elaine Bernard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the David Haas United Methodist Church in Bunkie with the Rev. Joe Hoover officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Bernard, age 89 of Bunkie, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the Reviere de Soleil Community Care Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Ralph Bernard; step-daughter, Donna Jeansonne; her parents, Ernest and Eula Rushing Austin; and 9 siblings.

Survivors include her children; Danny Clark and wife Joan of Safety Harbor, FL, Mark Clark and wife Kerry of Gainesville, FL and Karen C. Allen and husband Bob of Richland Hills, TX; her step-children, Connie Bordelon of Bunkie and James "Randy" Bernard of Waxahachie, TX; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
