GERARD FLOYD JOHNSON

Funeral services for Gerard Johnson will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bro. Daniel Blood officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Johnson, age 47 of Bunkie, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Floyd and Bertha Ducote Johnson; his father-in-law, Terry Christal; a sister, Ruby Dufour; and a brother-in-law, Rudy Bordelon.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years; Terry Christal Johnson of Bunkie; his children, Destin Sandell and her husband Cory of Alexandria, Haley Johnson of Lafayette, and Noah Johnson of Bunkie; his two sisters, Faye Jeansonne and her husband Buford of Hessmer, and Dianne Bordelon of Alexandria; his two grandchildren, Kellan and Preslee Sandell; his mother-in-law, Lynda Christal of Bunkie; 9 nephews and 4 nieces.
Pallbearers will include: Johnny Johnson, Kevin Blood, Allen Chatman, David Johnson, Ricky Dufour and Brian Bordelon. Honorary pallbearers will be; Todd Jeansonne, Mark Dufour and Chris Bordelon.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
