A Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald Ducote will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cottonport with the Rev. Walter Ajaero officiating. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Ducote, age 79 of Cottonport, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Jules and Myrtle Rabalais Ducote; and his siblings, Victor Ducote, Nelson Ducote, Russell Ducote and Benita Ducote Roule.

Survivors include his nieces and nephew; Laurie Roule Ducote, Torie Roule Leon, Stephanie Roule, Cathy Lutz, and Brian Roule; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
