A Mass of Christian Burial for Georgianna Bordelon will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayou Jacque Church of Christ Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mrs. Bordelon, age 90 of Bayou Jacque, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at the Valley View Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Bordelon; her parents, Ulysses and Alice LeJeune Thibodeaux; a daughter, Rita Tarvainis; and brothers, L.G. Thibodeaux, Ervin Thibodeaux, Earl Thibodeaux and L. J. Thibodeaux.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn Hendler of Chicago, Franklin Bordelon, Jr. of Plaucheville, John W. Bordelon of Plaucheville, Susan Martin of Plaucheville and Rachael Alleman of Baton Rouge; sisters, Gennie Thibodeaux and Ardell Snook; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.
