A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. George McGee will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in St. Landry with the Rev. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. McGee, age 75 of St. Landry, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Clarence and Lucille Castete McGee, and a brother, Dudley McGee.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Whitten McGee of St. Landry; one son, Philip McGee of Kennewick, WA; two daughters, Lisa McGee of Hessmer and Angela McGee of St. Landry; one brother, Clifton McGee of St. Landry; two sisters, Velma Dufour of Pine Prairie and twin sister, Georgiana Pellerin of Lake Charles; ten grandchildren, Brittany Chelette, Brooke Chapman and husband Luke, Briana McDonald, Devin McGee, Melia Messer and husband Levine, Landon McGee, Savannah McGee, Ella McGee, Kristen Bordelon and Lindsey Bordelon; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Madison Messer.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be cited by Rev. Richard Broussard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
