GEORGE ALLEN HUBBARD

Funeral services for George Hubbard will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bros. David Broussard and Kenneth Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebert Cemetery in Morrow. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Hubbard, age 73 of Morrow, passed away on Monday, August 02, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Mr. George was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of St. Landry Parish.
Mr. Hubbard is preceded in death by his parents; Lee Otis and Maude Rutledge Hubbard; four brothers, Terry Hubbard, Thomas Hubbard, Dave Hubbard and Wayne Hubbard; and one sister, Urseal H. Sanders.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janet Morgan Hubbard of Morrow; his son, Scott Hubbard of Morrow; his daughter Shannon Hubbard Dupont and her husband Brian of Morrow; one brother, John W. Hubbard of Big Cane; one sister, Mary Hubbard McGee of Bayou Jacque; his grandchildren, Aleshia Dixon and husband West, Harlie Hubbard, Abby Hubbard, Ali Bordelon, Brock Dupont, and Joshua Dupont; and his great-grandchildren, Kade Dixon, Kylie Dixon, and West John Dixon.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
