Genevieve “Jenny” Cason Soileau, age 83, of Big Cane, LA, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Green Meadow Haven Nursing Home in Coushatta, LA. She was born on April 3, 1943, middle child of 9, to the late Jeff Cason and Felonise Chelette Cason.

Jenny devoted 45 years to Metal Graphics, Inc. as bookkeeper and co-owner, along with her dear friend, the late Robert Alito. Jenny loved spending time with her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great grandson. She was an avid reader, liked to quilt, can tomatoes, make jelly and her famous chocolate chip cookies.

In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Roy Soileau, her daughter, Jeanne Soileau Kimble, sisters: Cora Caraway (Jack), Barbara Cason, Helen Owens and nephew Brian Owens, Julia Asbra (Harold) and nephew Harold “Peanut” Asbra, Jr., Brother-in-law Lionel Carter.

Jenny is survived by her daughter Julie Soileau Bell (Jack), son-in-law Keith Kimble, grandson Philip Bell (Emily), granddaughters Gillian Kimble, Gabrielle Kimble, Olivia Cole-Morgan (Ethan), great grandson Noah Bell. Jenny is also survived by her sister Linda “Susie” Redman, brother Charles Cason (Pat), sister Sandra Carter, brother Jeffrey Cason, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home in Bunkie, LA with Dr. Jack Bell officiating. Friends and family are welcome to visit from noon until the time of service.
