GENELL GREMILLION GOUDEAU

Funeral services for Genell Goudeau will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Alphonse Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Goudeau, age 71 of the Bayhills, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.

She is preceded in death by a granddaughter; Kelsey Guilbeau and her parents; Herman and Syble Gremillion.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years; Donald Goudeau of the Bayhills; her son, Glenn Goudeau and his wife Rhonda of the Bayhills; her daughters, Sybil Guilbeau and her husband Scott of Hessmer, Angie Marks and her husband Todd of Baton Rouge and Donna Saucier and her husband Doug of Plaucheville; a brother, Joseph Gremillion and his wife Anna Mae of Busch, LA; her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart and were her pride and joy; Lauren Goudeau, Ellyn Marks, Spencer Guilbeau, Leslie Saucier, Lindsey Goudeau, Emily Marks, David Saucier, Nathaniel Guilbeau, Kelly Marks and Lilyan Saucier and great grandson, Landon Valois. She is also survived by her dear friend and cousin, Bonnie Frank. She will be greatly missed by her furry companion at home, FeFe.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
