Graveside services for Gary Swaim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Dupont.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Swaim, age 85 of Elizabeth City, NC, formerly of Mansura, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Elizabeth City Health and Rehab Nursing Home.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Neolia "Penny" Dozier Swaim; his parents, Gus and Annie Rook Swaim; step mother, Luella Swaim; and brother, Ois Swaim.

Survivors include his step-sons, Ricky E. Lloyd and wife Linda of Moyock, NC and Larry D. Swaim of Nashville, NC; grandson, Mitchell Lloyd and wife Lee Ann; granddaughter, Aubrey Swaim; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Harper Lloyd; and nieces, Annette Swaim and Carol Jean Leake.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
