A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Church of the Little Flower with the Revs. Bartholomew Ibe and Charles Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the church mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Riche, age 95 of Evergreen, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Grace Home in Alexandria.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Leo Pope Riche, Sr.; a son, Leo Pope Riche, Jr.; her parents, M.D. and Alida Armand Descant, Sr; and her siblings, Birdie Descant St. Romain, Elster Joseph Descant, Carrie Descant Lemoine, Aline Descant St. Romain, Louella Descant Moreau, Nellie St. Romain Riche, and twin brothers, M.D. Descant, Jr. and Elmer "Buck" Descant.

Survivors include three children; Gail Riche Juneau of Bunkie, Susan Riche Meeker Earnest of Alexandria and Jon Craig Riche and his wife Deborah of Evergreen; her grandchildren, Leo "Rocky" Riche and wife Raquel, Richard Juneau and wife Janelle, Jill Juneau Tassin and husband Patrick, Tami Meeker Carlton Blackwell and husband Duane, Bridget Meeker Moreau and husband Scott, Curt Jude Riche and fiancé Olivia Chaney, Callie Riche Smith and husband Brock, and Hannah Riche Aymond and husband Mason; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen on Thursday.
