Funeral services for Frankie Miller will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Morrow Baptist Church with Bros. Bill Housley and Bob Braly officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Frankie Miller, born in Morrow, LA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the age of 83. He was the youngest of Lucky and Melissa Miller's eight children. Frankie's roots ran deep in Morrow, where he grew up, played basketball, and graduated from Morrow High School. His love for music led him to the drums, allowing him to be near his future wife, who played the trumpet.
Afterwards, he served in the army for three years, stationed in New Jersey, Germany, and Utah. A devoted husband, he shared 63 years of marriage with his beloved spouse Pat. Frankie's heart overflowed with faith; he was a bi-vocational pastor, reaching souls across southern Louisiana.

In his hands, gardens flourished, and each year he tended to a remarkable vegetable garden. His kindness knew no bounds; he connected with people effortlessly, offering care and conversation generously. Frankie Miller's legacy lives on, a man whose warmth and openness touched lives far and wide.

Survivors include his children; Melissa Sussman and husband Gary of Denver, CO, Frankie E. Miller, Jr. and wife Deana of Columbus, OH, Rebecka June and husband David of Seattle, WA and Michael Miller and wife Fredericka of New Orleans; his sister, Eula McDuffie of Houston; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at the Morrow Baptist Church.
