A Mass of Christian Burial for P.T. Palermo will be at 10:00 on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Palermo, age 83 of Ball, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

Mr. P.T. retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 37 years of service, and the Water Works District after 27 years of service. He was a longtime Commissioner of the Bunkie Little League and a member and past president of the Bunkie Quarterback Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Frank C. and Rilla Johnson Palermo.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Rosalea "BC" Tomino Palermo of Ball; his son, Frank C. Palermo, IV and his wife Tina of Lafayette; his daughters, Jeanette Palermo of Pineville, Sammy P. Martinez and her husband Jerry of Pineville, Mary P. Cummins and her husband Wes of Lakeland, FL, and Libby Palermo and Ricky of Pineville; his brothers, Clayton J. Palermo and his wife Sharon of Bunkie, Anthony L. Palermo and his wife Ada of Delhi, and Vincent P. Palermo and his wife Sarah of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Roxanne, Patricia, Morgan, Frankie V, Sam, Brooke, Brianne, K'Lee and The Little People; Lori, Kati Rose, Nicholas, Burt, Natalie, Madailein, London, Athens, and Rome; and his great-grandchildren, Gregory, John, Emma and Eli.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
