A Funeral Mass for Francis “Bo” Bordelon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bordelonville with Rev. Thomas Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Bordelon, age 74 of Bordelonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at his residence.

Bo lived a life defined by hard work and a deep respect for nature. As a dedicated employee of LA Wildlife and Fisheries, he spent decades patrolling, protecting, and preserving the local habitat. Bo also was always willing to lend a helping hand to local farmers during harvesting season. He loved spending time off at his camp at Grassy Lake and late-night suppers with family and friends. But his Pride and Joy was his “Lil Man” David, who we all know was waiting for him with open arms.

He is preceded in death by a son, David Joseph Bordelon; wife, Carol Graves Bordelon; his parents, Prose and Marina Bordelon; and brother, Jason Bordelon.

Survivors include a son, Daryl Paul Bordelon of Pontchatoula; his siblings, Shellby Bordelon (Janice) of Houma, LA and Gayle Couvillion (Don) of Moreauville; also, numerous step-children and step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the St. Peter’s Catholic church hall in Bordelonville.
