FRANCES KELLER VINCENT DOWDEN
Funeral services for Frances Dowden will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Bunkie with the Bro. Mark Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Dowden, age 99 of Plano, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Accel at Willow Bend Nursing Home.
Mrs. Dowden was one of the original members of the First Baptist Church where she grew to love her church family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She totally loved her family and friends in Bunkie and missed it greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Charles M. and Eva Brinkley Keller, Sr.; her husbands, Edward Vincent and Harold Dowden; her brothers, C.M. Keller, Jr. and Clayton Keller; and a step-daughter, Rita Jacquelyn Kennedy.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert Keller Vincent and his wife Dinah of Bowling Green, OH and Gregory Edward Vincent and his wife Bonnie of McKinney, TX; her three sisters, Dorothy Price of Murfreesboro, TN, Coleen Hardin of Baton Rouge and Viola Dickerson of Ruston; a step-daughter, Jeanette Dowden Kaub of Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home and 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bunkie.
