Funeral services for Floyd Fogleman will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Big Cane Baptist Church with the Bro. Brian Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Cane Baptist New Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Fogleman, age 82 of Big Cane, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at his residence.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War, and retired from Gibson Hart Company as a construction superintendent. He was a member of the American Legion, the Local 198 Pipefitters and Steamfitters for over 50 years, and a 32nd degree Mason in the Consistry of Scottish Rite in Baton Rouge and a member of Orphans Friend Lodge #185. In his leisure time, Bobee enjoyed hunting.
Mr. Fogleman was a member of the Big Cane Baptist Church and truly a man of God; always putting God and his family first.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Floyd and Ethel Gautreaux Fogleman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years; Alicia O'Neal Fogleman of Big Cane; his son, Louis Paul Fogleman and his wife Angelique of Lemoyen; his daughters, Cindy Fogleman Daigle and her husband Chad of Prosper, TX, and Karen Fogleman Simmons and her husband Donald of Big Cane; his three sisters, Doris Collins of Opelousas, Billie Ann Beard and her husband Jackie of Morrow, and Vicki Socia and her husband David of Morrow; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Big Cane Baptist Church in Big Cane.
