A Mass of Christian Burial for Emily Wall will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Mausoleum.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Wall, age 73 of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at her residence.

Emily was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters and the Bunkie Service League.

She is preceded in death by her father, Prestise A. Bourgeois; her mother, Emma Rita Lemoine Abramson; maternal grandparents, Louis Lemoine and Ruby Debellevue; paternal grandparents, Paul and Emily Bourgeois; a sister, Sue Bordelon; brother-in-law, Charles Bordelon; and a niece, Adrian Louis Marceaux.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, John Wall of Bunkie; her sons, Paul Couvillion and wife Brandy of Bunkie and Michael Todd Couvillion and wife Amanda of Darrow, LA; two sisters, Beth Marceaux and husband Mickey of Lafayette and Nanette McCord and husband Bruce of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Michael Couvillion, Hanna Couvillion, Jean' Paul Couvillion, Ryleigh Moran, Mitchell Couvillion, Kallie Couvillion and Emily Couvillion; her step-children, David Wall and wife Stacy and their children, Bradlee, Adam and Jessie, Erica Wall and her child Parker, and Aimee Sasser and husband Adam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. with a rosary recited at 11:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Pallbearers will include:  Michael Couvillion, Jean' Paul Couvillion, Mitchell Couvillion, Michael Marceaux, John Prentise Marceaux and Christopher McCord.  Honorary pallbearers include: Scott Bordelon, Will Etheridge, Christopher Ribera, Mark Coulon and Thomas Frank.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Anthony Catholic School and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
