A Mass of Christian Burial for E.J. Dupont will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dupont with the Rev. George Krosfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Dupont, age 73 of Dupont, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by two sons, Joey and Brian Dupont; his parents, Pierce and Mildred Marcotte Dupont; and a sister, Betty Dupont.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Loretta Sue Clark Dupont of Dupont; one son, Ricky Dupont and his wife Christie of Dupont; a daughter, Brenda Kay McClain and her husband Jonathan of Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Dupont of Big Cane; two brothers, Odis Dupont of Dupont and Pierce Dupont, Jr. of Carencro; 5 sisters, Gail Dupont of Dupont, Judy Ward of Simmesport, Angie Dupont of Houston, Adele Dupont of Simmesport and Ruth Esser of Milton, FL; his grandchildren, Warren Dupont, Nicole Dupont, Brock Dupont, Joshua Dupont, Ethan Dupont, Morgan Dupont, Megan Ashford and Zachary McClain; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include; Warren Dupont, Brock Dupont, Joshua Dupont, Ethan Dupont, Zachary McClain and Josh Ashford.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Sunday at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Dupont.
