ELDRED JOHN "EDDIE" BORDELON, JR.

A funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Eldred John "Eddie" Bordelon, Jr. will be held Thursday, September 8 at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bunkie, La. with Fr. Scott Chemino officiating. Interment will follow at Pythian Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday at 10:00AM until 1:45 PM at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home, Bunkie. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shreveport, La. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie
Eddie was born on November 26, 1929 in Bunkie to Eldred John Bordelon, Sr. and
Rosalie Bordelon., and passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 in Meridian, Ms after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
From an early age it became apparent that Eddie had a great joy of life and thirst for adventure. He also had a great love for his many friends in Bunkie and later in
Shreveport after moving there in 1967. He was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain. He will be remembered best for his sense of humor and his ability to find good in anyone he met.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mildred Lacombe Bordelon; sons Gregg
Bordelon and wife Julie of Meridian and Tom Bordelon and wife Stacey of Shreveport;
grandchildren Catherine Bordelon of Meridian, and Mason, Alex and Annabeth Garcia of
Shreveport; brother Bruce Bordelon and wife Doris of Shreveport and nephew Bart Bordelon of Shreveport.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William Bordelon.
