Obituary
A Memorial Service for Elaine Reed will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church in Evergreen with the Bros. David Trimbur and Cody Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Reed passed away on December 31, 2015 at the age of 77. She was a native of Evergreen, LA and a resident of Baker, LA. She was a loving wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, "Bud"; her parents, Horase and Elanor Abney; and a granddaughter Lauren E. Reed.
Survivors include; her two sisters, Mercedes Terry and Nedra Rivers; her children, Warren S. Reed, Jr., Debra E. Reed-Everett, Daniel K. Reed, Dana A. Reed-Cates, and Dorothy T. Reed; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
