Graveside services for Earl Normand Sr., will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Dupont. Pastor Richard Newman officiating. Burial will follow immediately. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Normand, age 78 of Cottonport, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his residence.  He was retired from Longshoremen & Wildlife & Fisheries. A very hard worker all his life. He was a small man with a heart of gold and strength of Samson. He loved to fish, dance, visit family and friends, feed his birds in his yard, pick his pecans, loved everyone's children, always making people laugh with his funny stories. He always put others first. He was a very generous, loving and kind man, helping out anyone he could. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Judy Firmin Normand; his parents, Joseph C. and Mary Brouillette Normand; and two brothers, Terrell Normand and. J.C. Normand, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Earl Normand Jr. (Wendy) of Cottonport and Darlene N. Thomas (James) of Prairieville; his grandchildren, Carey Mancuso, Christopher Rousseau, Amanda Smith, April Altenberger, Michael Dupuy and Eric Dupuy; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey, M.J., Hunter, Zoey, Khloe, Mollie, Lexi and Michael, and many Nieces and Nephews.
