Funeral services for Doris Lutz will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Bro. Roger Whittington officiating.  Burial will follow in the White's Chapel Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Lutz, age 95 of St. Landry, passed away at her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Burton (J.B.) Lutz, Sr.; her parents, Louis and Frozie Whittington Harrell; and her siblings, Willie Lee Tubre, Ceily Young, Dean Harrell, Curry Harrell and Earl Harrell.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne Lutz of St. Landry and John B. "Doony" Lutz, Jr and wife Valerie of Amite; her grandchildren, Jamey Lutz, Johnny Lutz, III, Brandon Lutz and Robin Lutz; and her great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Charlotte and Kailynn.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.
