Funeral services for Donald Daniels will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at First Union Baptist Church in Bunkie with Rev. Sherman Daniels officiating.  Burial will follow in the First Union Baptist Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Daniels, age 75 of Bunkie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Don retired from Kojis Sign Company where he was employed for 50 years.  He started his career working for Mr. Bill Kojis and then for Greg.  They had many good years together!

He is preceded in death by his parents; Saul and Lillian Joseph Daniels; and a brother, Leroy Daniels.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rosa Mae Darkentell Daniels; his children, Teresa Ann Jenkins (Rev. Michael Jenkins) of TX, Tasha D. McKinley (Kedrick) of Bunkie, Donald Daniels, Jr. (Daisy Dupuy) of Cottonport, Christopher Daniels of Bunkie and Katherine Daniels of Bunkie; his brothers, Shelton Daniels of Hessmer and Sherman Daniels (Carol) of Dallas, TX; his sisters, Elizabeth Alfred of Bunkie, Rosetta Daniels of Bunkie, Maeola D. Marks of Bunkie, Mary Badger of Bunkie, Patricia Daniels of Bunkie, Ja'Nea Clayton of TX and Dorothy Gordon of Alexandria;  grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the First Union Baptist Church in Bunkie.
