DENNIS REGINALD McNUTT

Funeral services for Dennis McNutt will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Bros. Arnold Norsworthy and Ross Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. McNutt, age 89 of Cheneyville, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2014 at the Bayou Vista Nursing Home.

Mr. McNutt was a member and deacon of the Beulah Baptist Church in Cheneyville, a retired farmer, and a charter member of the M&M Hunting Club at The Armadillo Ranch.

He is preceded in death by a son; Reginald McNutt; his parents, Edgar and Ruby Walker McNutt; 2 brothers, Wayne and Bobby Joe McNutt; brother-in-law, Horace McCann; and nephews, Randy McNutt, Lee McCann, and Robert McCann.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Hazel McCann McNutt of Cheneyville; a daughter, Linda McNutt Desselle of Alexandria; a daughter-in-law, Debi Klooster McNutt of Woodworth; brother, Walker McNutt and his wife Betty of Cheneyville and his twin brother, Don McNutt and his wife Marylea of Cheneyville; his grandchildren, Amy Alwell Pence (Jeff), Jeff McNutt, Amanda Alwell Hubbard (Ryan), Jennifer McNutt Floyd (Mike), Jarred McNutt, and step-grandson, Stephen Desselle (Laurie); and his great-grandchildren, Keenan Hubbard, Xander Pence, Taylor Floyd and Connor Floyd.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beulah Baptist Church in Cheneyville.
