A Mass of Christian Burial for Dawn Ducote will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Laird officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Ms. Ducote, age 45 of Plaucheville, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother; Patti Lemoine Ducote; her paternal grandparents, Harris and Aniece Ducote and her maternal grandfather, Raymond Lemoine.

Survivors include her children; Kyle Quebedeaux and wife Hannah, Madelyn Quebedeaux, Nathan Quebedeaux, Sarah Quebedeaux and Sophia Rabalais all of Plaucheville; her companion, Casey Lasseigne of Carencro; her father, Steven Ducote of Plaucheville; her sisters, Stacie Marsh (Ken) of Plaucheville, Amanda Dixon (Preston) of Dupont, and Kristen Kramer of Plaucheville; maternal grandparents, Eddie and Sylvia Lemoine; her grandchildren, Jaxon Quebedeaux, Amelia Quebedeaux and Baby Quebedeaux; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

In remembrance of Dawn's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of plants.
