DAVID WAYNE DUCOTE
Funeral services for David Wayne Ducote will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Ducote, age 52 of Prairieville, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was born April 30, 1960 in Lecompte. He was an auto mechanic for over 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his father; Burton Ducote; a sister, Connie Ducote; and two brothers, Johnny and Tommy Ducote.
Survivors include; one son, Eric Ducote of Prairieville; one daughter, Jennifer Rolon and husband Mike of The Plains, VA; his mother, Velda "Pat" Ducote of Bunkie; one brother, Michael Ducote and his wife Sandy of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Phyllis Villemarette and her husband Jessie of Bunkie; and two grandchildren, Conner and Colton.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Thursday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
A wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at funeral home.
