Funeral services for David Blood will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at The Sanctuary Assembly of God in Lone Pine with Pastor Walter Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Blood age 67 of Bayou Chicot passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Huey and Gennevieve Blood and a brother, Roy Lane Blood.

Survivors include his wife, Debra G. Blood of Bayou Chicot; his children, Sonia Grouvillia (Michael) of Eunice, Derek Blood (Erica) of Bayou Chicot and Caleb Blood (April) of Arnaudville; his step-children, Jamie Vidrine (Annie), Fr. Jason Vidrine, Dana Dugas (David), Ashley Lavergne and Vickie Roddy (Wade); his brothers, Leo Pierce Blood (Verdie) of Lone Pine and Chuck Blood (Sherry) of Alaska; sisters, Helen Deville (George) of Turkey Creek, Daphne Stallings (Jeff) of Colfax and Leisa Gray (William) of Lone Pine; 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Friends may visit on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at The Sanctuary Assembly of God in Lone Pine.
