Funeral services for Curtis Blood will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Bro. Roger Blood, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery in Lone Pine.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Blood, age 79 of Bayou Chicot, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles Earl and Erna Irene Carnahann Blood; and his siblings, Kenneth Wayne, Roger Dale, James Franklin, Charles Willis, Elsie Mae and Claudenell Blood.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Linda Vidrine Blood of Bayou Chicot; his sons, Jeffrey Paul Blood and wife Dana of Pine Prairie, Greg Blood of Pine Prairie and Donny Blood and wife Stacy of Bayou Chicot; brothers, Ralph Neil Blood and wife Cynthia of Lone Pine and Nolan Anderson Blood of Monroe; grandchildren, Alex Blood (Katie), Zachary Blood (Emily), Logan Blood (Lauren), Lauren Blood, Brock Blood, Brooklyn Blood (Noah), Natalie McDaniel and Dustin McDaniel (Karli) and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
