Curley Joseph Stelly, age 77, of Morrow, LA passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 at his residence.

Visitation will begin Monday, December 15, 2025 at 9:00 am at the Big Cane Baptist Church, 2314 Hwy. 107, Morrow, LA until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Matthew Cormier officiating.  Burial will be at the Church cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Curley is preceded in death by his son, Troy Stelly and his parents, Easton and Emma Landry Stelly.

Survivors include his wife, Waneita Stelly, his son, Tony Stelly (Debbie) of Gonzales, siblings Betty Chautin (Lee Charles) of Lebeau, Jeffrey Stelly (Betty) of Lebeau, Howard Stelly (Rosa) of Brusly, LA,  Paula Vidrine (Don) of Helena, MT and Cindy Stelly of Opelousas, his Daughter-in-law, Vickie Stelly of Port Barre.  He is also survived by his beautiful Grandchildren, Benjamin, Gabby, Brett, Lainey, Alyssa, Emma, Sophie and Lucas.

Curley was a devoted Deacon at Bayou Jacqu Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting and was an excellent cook who loved preparing meals for others.  Above all, Curley cherished spending time with his Grandchildren.  Curley and his wife were both 18 years old when they married and shared 59 loving years together.  He enjoyed visiting and spending time with friends and family and will be remembered for his quiet, but warm spirit and the love for those around him.
