CRYSTAL ANN FERGUSON

A Mass of Christian Burial for Crystal Ferguson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Ms. Ferguson, age 40 of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Crystal earned her Associates degree from LSUA where she served as the SGA President. She went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from ULL in Child and Family Studies. Crystal always put her family first and her niece and nephews were the loves of her life.

She is preceded in death by her mother; Sallie Ann Pitre Ferguson; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Ferguson, Sr; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pitre.

Survivors include her father; William "Shorty" Ferguson of Bunkie; her brother, William "Peanut" Ferguson and his wife Sarah of Bunkie; her "sister" Michelle Pasquier of Bunkie; a niece, Emily Doucet and three nephews, Jace, Tucker and Tanner Ferguson all of Bunkie; and her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. on Monday until 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

A rosary will be cited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday by Rev. Edwin Rodriguez followed by a short prayer service by Bro. Lyndon Marcotte.
