Obituary

Mrs. Connie Jeansonne Daigrepont, age 68, of St. Martinville, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Connie was a devoted wife and mother who was extremely proud of her five daughters and the beautiful family they built around her. She had a feisty spirit and endless energy, and she loved to stay busy and spend time with the people she loved most. Her grandchildren especially held a very special place in her heart and brought her so much joy. The countless memories she created with her family will be cherished and carried with them always.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Timothy Daigrepont; her five daughters, Layla Ducote of Lafayette, Mary Fogleman of Opelousas, Avery Smith (Chad) of Jena, Emily Birdlong (Louis) of Pineville, and Megan Clavier (Cody) of Church Point; her siblings, Jennifer J. Daigrepont, Chris Jeansonne, George Jeansonne, and Lisa J. Richard; her grandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Isaac, and Olivia Ducote, Joshua (Sydney), Audrey-Ellen, and Adrianne Fogleman, Quinton and William Smith, Zoie-Claire Carmouche, Hailey Birdlong, Noah and Luca Clavier; and her great-granddaughter, Violet Fogleman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wintis and Joyce Ducote Jeansonne; her brother, Larry Jeansonne; and her sister, Catherine J. Blood.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

A Funeral Mass for Connie Daigrepont will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Msgr. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Bayou Rouge Baptist Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
