Funeral services for Jane McGlone will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Big Cane Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Gautreaux officiating.  Burial will follow in the McGlone Family Cemetery in Big Cane.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. McGlone, age 63 of Big Cane, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Lafayette General Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Dalton Ford and Katie Harris Carter, Sr.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Robert Dean McGlone of Big Cane; her siblings, David Chatman and wife Ella Rose of Big Cane, Robert Carter and wife Bessie of Big Cane, Waneita Stelly and husband Curley of Big Cane, Dalton F. Carter, Jr. of Opelousas and Elwood Carter and wife Sue of Morrow; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday at the Big Cane Baptist Church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will include:  David Chatman, Bobby Carter, Elwood Carter, Butch McGlone, Steve Clark, Heath Chatman and Tony Stelly.
