A rosary service for Chetta Rogers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville with Rev. Martin Laird officiating followed by a memorial service. Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until the end of the services.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Ms. Rogers, age 67 of Dupont, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Eugene Rodrigue and mother, Josephine Conforto Comer; and the love of her life, Wallace Rogers, Sr.

Survivors include her children; Laura Rogers of Opelousas, Ashley DeSoto and husband Paul of Plaucheville and Bradley Rogers and wife Stephanie of Deville; a brother, Lewis Ashbey and wife Carla of Lafayette; sisters, Terry Oldham of Pineville and Theresa Harrison and husband Mel of Colfax; her grandchildren, Kelsey Rogers, Lacey Rogers, Sylvie Sonnier, Logan Rogers, Isabella Rogers, Peyton DeSoto, Allison DeSoto and Haven Dupont; and her great grandchildren, Emera and Bella.
