A Mass of Christian Burial for Cheryl Ducote will 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Ducote, age 74 of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade Ducote, Jr.; a daughter, Sheila Bordelon; two grandsons, Travis Fontenot and Tyler Fontenot; her parents, Cleopha Leleaux and Ola Dozier Franks; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children; Anna Fontenot of Bunkie; Wade Ducote, III and wife Michelle of Bunkie, Donna Bourgeois and husband Anthony of Thibodeaux, Nicky Ducote and wife Peanut of Bunkie and Scotty Ducote of Bunkie; brothers, Kenneth Ducote, Darrell Ducote, Joel Franks, John Wayne Ducote, Bill Leleaux, Rodney Leleaux, Cleopha Leleaux, Jr. and Lawrence Leleaux; sisters, LouAnn Gauthier, Carolyn Fontenot, Betty Jo Patnaude, June Ducote Anderson, Cindy Valois, Dorothy Chauvin, Allie Touchet, and Mary Ann Powers; her grandchildren, Gary Dopson (Eryn), Heather Fontenot, Brandon Fontenot, Dillon Ducote, Nick Mose (Whitney), Kayla Landry (Jonathan), Leslie Bordelon, Hailey Galland Delatte (Justin), Cassie Galland, Trevor Galland, Alicia Ducote, Austin Ducote, Weston Ducote, Brantlee Ducote, Dylan Brian Ducote, Chase Ducote, Blake Bourgeois and Tana Bourgeois; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include: Nicholas Mose, Dillon Ducote, Scotty Ducote, Austin Ducote, Trevor Galland and Jonathan Landry.

Friends may visit on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
