CECILE VEAD DUCOTE
A funeral mass for Cecile Ducote will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Belledeau with the Rev. Silvarino Kwebuza officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Ducote, age 89 of Hessmer, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Hessmer Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Charles Ducote, Sr.; sister, Agnes Vead Dauzat; and brothers, Valley Vead, Sr., and John Vead.
Survivors include her children; Wanda Ducote of Hessmer, Charles "Sonny Boy" Ducote, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Hessmer, and Troy Luke Ducote, Sr. and his wife Lilly of Hessmer; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
