A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Knott will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dupont with the Rev. Joseph Desmoine officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mater Delorosa Catholic Cemetery in Plaucheville.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Knott, age 70 of Plaucheville, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferdie and Marie Guidry Knott; brothers, Emery Knott, Gerald Knott and Michael Knott; and sister, Brenda Knoll.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bernice Bordelon Knott of Plaucheville; his sons, Carol John Knott, Jr and wife Candace, David Joseph Knott and wife Darlene and Mark Anthony Knott and wife Julie all of Plaucheville; brothers, Joe Knott and wife Lisa of Plaucheville and Leroy Knott and wife Mary of Cottonport sisters, Nellie Dauzat and husband Luther of Hessmer and Shirley St. Romain and husband Nobel of Plaucheville; his grandchildren, Natalie Knott, Brody Knott, Katelyn Pupera, Ashley Berryman, Devin Sayes, Cassandra Stoute, Chancey Kimble, Hannah Oubre and Brice Oubre; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall.  A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m.
