A Mass of Christian Burial for Brenda McLain will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dupont with the Rev. Walter Ajaero officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mrs. McLain, age 47 of Greenwell Springs, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her father, E.J. Dupont; and two brothers, Elum "Joey" Dupont and Brian Dupont.

Survivors include her husband, Jonathan McLain of Greenwell Springs; one son, Zachary Elum McLain of Greenwell Springs; one daughter, Meghan Sue Ashford and husband Joshua of Pride, LA; her mother, Loretta Sue Clark Dupont of Dupont; one brother, Ricky Dupont and wife Christie of Dupont; and two grandchildren, Adelynn Sue Ashford and Roseleigh Ann Ashford.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight on Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
