A private graveside service for Bobby Lester Russo was held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026 in the Pythian Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Boone officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Russo, age 93 of Denham Springs, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Russo; her parents; Robert Henry and Willie Mae Boatner Lester; and grandchildren, Corey Douzart and William Flake.

Survivors include her children; Robert Edwin Flake and Amy of Denham Springs and Elizabeth Flake Cooper of Bethel, Maine; her grandchildren, Lynze Cooper, Melanie Hamilton, Emily Flake and Ethan Flake; and great-grandchildren, Chevelle Hamilton, Anna Ellis, Remington Sanborn and Elliott Guidry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bunkie, 203 S. Lexington, Bunkie, LA 71322
