A Rite of Christian Burial for Bobby Johnson will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with Father Jeff Bayhi officiating.  Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery in Lone Pine.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Bobby was an avid outdoorsman, spending lots of time hunting and fishing.  He loved bringing friends and family together for big gatherings, sharing good times and good food.

Mr. Johnson, age 77 of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 26, 2023 after a long battle with dementia.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Lennie "Dick" Johnson and Daisy Deville Johnson; and a sister, Janice J. Hebert.

Survivors include his children; Lenny Johnson of Baton Rouge, Sally Johnson (Ben) of Seneca, SC, Bobby Glen Johnson of Lone Pine and Austin Johnson (Catherine) of Baton Rouge; brother, Emmanuel Edward Johnson (Carol) of Lone Pine; sister, Sue Johnson of Alpharetta, GA; brother-in-law, Malcolm Hebert of Turkey Creek; his grandchildren, Joseph Pizzuto, Katie Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Finn Johnson, William Johnson and Ann Marie Johnson; and his great-grand daughter, Isabella Pizzuto.

Friends may visit on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
