BEULAH MAE HARPER RICHARD

Funeral services for Beulah Richard will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Bro. Ross Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Cheneyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Richard, age 90 of Cheneyville, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Upon graduating from State Normal College (Northwestern State University), Ms. Richard taught in the Rapides Parish School System for 30 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cheneyville, and loved spending time with her family. In her younger days, she enjoyed fishing at Grand Isle.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Richard; her parents, Benny E. and Beulah Hogan Harper; brother, Harvey E. Harper and sister, Edwina H. Luedtke.
Survivors include her two sons; Benny H. Richard and wife Gaye of Cheneyville and Ricky M. Richard of Cheneyville; two grandchildren, Michael E. Richard and wife Ashley, and Stacy Lewis and husband Aaron; and four great-grandchildren, Cassidy Lewis, Allee Lewis, Colton Lemoine, and Aubree Richard.
Pallbearers will include; Michael Richard, Bill Flake, Ross Harper, Dave Harper, Jeffrey Richard, and Richard Whiteside
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
