BETTY DUCOTE FONTANILLE

Funeral mass for Betty Fontanille will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Michalchuk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Fontanille, age 73 of Turkey Creek, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at her daughters' residence.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Bascom Fontanille; and two sons, Michael Fontanille and Alton Fontanille.
Survivors include two sons; Norris Fontanille and wife JoAnn of Colfax, and Richard Fontanille of Turkey Creek; her daughter, Maxine Snoddy of Turkey Creek; one brother, Ellis Ducote of Bayhills; three sisters, Alice Ponthieux of GA, Josephine Marcotte of Bayhills, and Mary Gagnard of Cottonport; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. on Thursday until 9:45 a.m. on Friday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home.
A Vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
