AUDIE CLAYTON BLOOD
Funeral services for Audie Clayton Blood will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bro. Donald Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery in Lone Pine. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Blood, age 55 of Lone Pine, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at his residence.
He was a painter in his earlier years with his brother-in-law and friend, Ricky Vanhoof. He was newly employed by R.C. Directional Boring as a directional boring operator. He was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Clayton Blood and a nephew, Joshua Patrick Sparks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lessie Book Blood Messer and husband Stanley of Lone Pine; his son, Clay Blood and Kathleen of Clearwater; his daughters, Cherisa Juneau of Bunkie, Nicole Blood of Clearwater, and Katie Blood and Scott of Natchitoches; his sisters, Debbie Blood Johnson and Richard of Prairieville, Cheryl Blood Sparks and Patrick of Lone Pine, Beth Manning and David of Alexandria, and Julie Russ and Chris of Conroe, TX; his six grandchildren, Dillion, Lucas, Emily of Bunkie, and Gage, Camden and Keadon Blood of Clearwater; the mother of his children Cindy L. Blood and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
